Higo Mari Exhibition (肥後まり展) is being held at the Kumamoto International Folk Crafts Museum until December 10. About 700 pieces of mari balls are displayed, and visitors can see colorful Higo mari with various patterns(Some of my works are also on display!)

Higo mari ball is one of the craft works of Kumamoto. The balls are filled with rice husk and embroidered with natural dyed thread. There are thirteen patterns for Higo mari ball, such as hemp leaves and camellia. This event is held every two years, so don’t miss it!
